Overcoming Challenges in Zimbabwe: Our Engineer Successfully Completes Critical Commissioning, Achieving Fuel Cost Breakthrough For Client

GeneralFlame is pleased to announce the successful completion of a critical on-site commissioning and optimization project in Zimbabwe by our after-sales engineer, Mr. Shen, who has recently returned home. This mission transcended standard equipment tuning, representing a successful case of delivering systematic solutions and creating significant economic value for our client under challenging conditions.

The scope included cold commissioning, overall startup, and core combustion system optimization. While the initial startup was smooth, a major challenge emerged: the extremely high local price of diesel made the initial oil-coal co-firing mode economically unsustainable for the client, who urgently demanded a reduction in oil dependency.

Responding promptly, Mr. Shen attempted adjustments based on standard parameters. However, modifications to secondary air, oil pressure, and pulverized coal supply failed to achieve the goal of eliminating oil support. Through diligent investigation and communication, Mr. Shen identified the root cause: the local coal quality was far inferior to the design basis, and the client was unable to change the fuel source.

When on-site experience reached its limit, Mr. Shen proactively activated support from our domestic technical team. Under the precise remote guidance of Manager Wu, through combined observation of flame characteristics and fine-tuned operational adjustments, a major breakthrough was achieved: full transition to stable 100% pulverized coal combustion. This directly addressed the client's primary cost concern, demonstrating exceptional problem-solving and teamwork.

During subsequent operation monitoring, Mr. Shen also identified an issue of abnormally severe slagging at the furnace bottom. He swiftly reported his findings, triggering a high-priority remote "expert consultation" led by General Manager Zhang, involving heads of design, technology, and process departments. The team quickly diagnosed the cause related to the ash discharge mechanism and worked with the client to establish a reliable interim solution involving scheduled manual ash removal, ensuring continued operation.

This Zimbabwe project, though fraught with challenges, concluded with remarkable success. Mr. Shen and our technical support team exemplified professional expertise, a responsible service attitude, and highly efficient collaboration. They resolved dual challenges of fuel cost and equipment operation, ensuring project stability and delivering tangible economic benefits for the client. This underscores our company's client-centric commitment to providing exceptional after-sales service and tailored solutions, while also accumulating valuable experience for overseas projects in complex environments.

We are proud of outstanding engineers like Mr. Shen and our robust backend technical support system. Moving forward, we remain dedicated to providing superior and reliable products and services to our global customers.
