I. New National Standard Takes Effect, Industry Standards Comprehensively Upgraded

On March 1, 2026, the national standard GB/T 19839-2025 "General Specification for Industrial Oil and Gas Burners" officially came into effect, fully replacing the GB/T 19839-2005 version that had been in service for nearly two decades. The new standard specifies classification and model designation, requirements, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation, and storage for industrial oil and gas burners, as well as describing corresponding test methods. It applies to the design, manufacturing, and acceptance of mechanically ventilated oil and gas burners with power output of not less than 60 kW, with reference application for alcohol-based fuel and biomass oil-gas burners for industrial furnaces.

The implementation of the new national standard signifies that China's industrial burner industry has entered a new phase with higher standards and stricter requirements. Zhejiang Province further proposed in its "15th Five-Year Air Quality Improvement Plan (Draft for Comments)" the advancement of ultra-low emission retrofits in key industries, deep treatment of industrial furnaces and kilns, and the upgrading of inefficient or ineffective pollution control facilities. The Air Pollution Prevention and Control Work Promotion Meeting in Qinghai Province also made clear the orderly advancement of ultra-low emission retrofits in key industries, deep treatment of boilers and furnaces, and the continuous improvement of air pollution prevention and control levels. These policy signals clearly indicate that ultra-low emissions have become an irreversible direction for the industrial burner industry. Adopting advanced combustion technology to meet increasingly stringent emission standards has become a rigid requirement for industrial users.
