How To Select Heavy Oil Burner

1. Mechanical impurities

Heavy oil is made of cracked heavy oil, reduced pressure heavy oil, normal pressure heavy oil or waxy oil in different proportions.

The impurities will block the filter screen, spray gun, oil valve, slow down the wear of oil pump and nozzle, and affect the service life of the parts, so the content of impurities in fuel oil is less than 0.5 ~ 1%.

2. Fuel selection

Water is one of the secondary impurities in fuel, which not only reduces the amount of combustible ingredients in fuel, but also makes it difficult for fuel to catch fire.Excessive moisture will increase the decay of pipes and equipment, increase the heat loss of smoke exhaust and energy consumption of transportation, and uneven moisture content will lead to flame pulsation or even flame extinction.Fuel oil should be treated with dehydration before use, and the water content should be controlled between 1% and 3%.

Heavy oil contains sulfur and other elements and compounds. The SO2 and SO3 generated by sulfur after incineration are discharged into the atmosphere and combined with water vapor to form strong ulcerating sulfurous acid and sulfuric acid, which affect the service life of flue, dust collector and fan.In addition, sulfur compounds in oil have different degrees of influence on pipelines, valves, pumps, sealing rings, boiler spray guns, etc. Therefore, when determining heavy oil, the lower the sulfur content, the better, should be less than 3%.
