Heavy oil, characterized by high viscosity, poor fluidity, and solidification at low temperatures, requires an integrated pre-treatment process involving heat exchange, tracing, and heating before it can be used as industrial fuel. We offer complete heavy oil firing system solutions covering the entire chain from unloading, storage, and transfer to kiln burners.
Below is a typical heavy oil system workflow:
1. Unloading and Main Storage
- Heavy oil is delivered by tanker and unloaded into the main storage tank.
- The main tank is equipped with heating coils (steam-supplied) to raise the oil temperature and ensure smooth unloading.
2. Intermediate Storage and Reheating
- The oil from the main tank is pumped to a daily service tank for temporary storage, ensuring continuous supply.
- A separate heating coil at the bottom of the daily tank maintains the required temperature to prevent re-solidification.
3. Pressure Boost and Final Heating to Burners
- Oil from the daily tank is pressurized and reheated before being fed to both the kiln inlet burner and kiln outlet burner, meeting different combustion zone requirements.
4. Full-System Tracing and Heat Source
- All heating coils exchange heat with steam generated by the boiler.
- The pump skid and all pipelines are fitted with electric or steam tracing lines to keep heavy oil at a stable temperature throughout the transfer, eliminating clogging risks.
