Multi-channel burner flame features:
By adjusting axial and radial airflow in a wide range, the flame of multi-channel burner can be adjusted.
A primary air enters a concentric cone (hollow conical flame)
The fuel enters the primary air separately (solid fuel is transported by air)
Function/description:
The primary air enters the concentric hollow cone instead of the axial direction.
The axial and radial air of this hollow cone forms an external recirculation zone outside the flame, where hot combustion gases are brought back to mix with secondary air and fuel. This recirculated hot combustion gas helps fuel to catch fire.
Through concentric axial and radial air duct arrangement, in the center of the flame formed an internal recirculation zone (IRZ), just in front of the burner nozzle, high temperature combustion gas is back, this internal recirculation zone makes the fuel in the center of the flame, primary air and high temperature combustion air mix strongly, which is greatly conductive to the fuel to catch fire.
Because the mixing and heating of the fuel inside and outside the primary air is very intense, the flames are generally shorter.
The length and shape of the flame can be adjusted by changing the total primary air ratio and the ratio of axial to radial air.
Ø The higher the radial air vortex, the shorter and wider the flame is.
Ø The higher the axial jet force formed by axial and radial air, the stronger and longer the flame is.
