Combustion technologies:

Combustion, as an ideal technology of treatment efficiency and effectiveness, has been adopted by most experts and some environmental protection authorities, and is considered to be a more effective and thorough VOCs treatment method.

 

 

 

 

Regenerative thermal oxidizer (RTO) and regenerative catalytic oxidizer (RCO) are common VOCs combustion treatment technologies. The principle is to degrade organic compounds by direct combustion or catalyst combustion. In order to improve heat utilization efficiency and reduce equipment operating costs, a regenerative type has been developed and widely used in recent years. Depending on the organic compounds that need to be treated, different treatment methods should be selected, and the corresponding combustion temperature and catalytic technologies should be designed.

 

 

 

 

 

The advantage of RCO technologies

 

  • The residence time of RCO reaction is short, about 1/5 of RTO
  • RTO requires denitrification device, RCO does not need (RTO produces NOX, denitrification is required, RCO does not produce NOX)
  • For chlorine waste gas, RTO needs to add a quench device, which needs to solve the problem of high temperature corrosion, and RCO does not need to
  • RTO requires fuel storage and transportation system, RCO does not need (no external heating after reaching the ignition temperature, reaction temperature is 250-400℃)
  • Rtos require backup power, RCO does not
  • RTO needs high temperature resistant material, RCO does not need (RTO reaction temperature 800-1200℃)
